Jussie Smollett is telling people he is innocent. Chicago police believe the actor staged his hate crime attack by paying two brothers to attack him. Jussie has been denying those allegations for a while now. Because of that, he faces criminal charges in Chicago. According to TMZ, he was re-charged for allegedly lying to police about that hate crime. Jussie has pled not guilty to six counts of disorderly conduct before Judge James Linn on a new indictment from earlier this month and his team wants the case dismissed over double jeopardy. They don't think it's fair to prosecute him for the same thing twice. Of course, Jussie says the truth will be his defense in his next trial because he says the Chicago police know that he is innocent. But that's the thing, they don't believe it. I swear this is one mysterious case.
