Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd Sued Over "Black Panther" Song

The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar are being sued over a high pitch sound. Their song "Pray for Me" on the Black Panther soundtrack is being targeted. A Brooklyn-based rocked band called Yeasayer claims Kendrick and Weeknd stole a piece of their 2007 song "Sunrise" and changed it up a bit. According to TMZ, there is a distinctive choral performance from the "Sunrise" song in a certain pitch. They believe Kendrick and Weeknd modified it with "intent to conceal the infringement" and used it in "Pray for Me" up to 8 different times throughout the track. The band is asking for all the "Pray for Me" profits and damages. As much as I love some Kendrick, you can hear similarities, but not if that makes sense. But is the case strong enough?
