Philly Health Officials Investigating Possible Coronavirus Case

6ABC reports that officials at the William Penn Charter School in East Falls are currently working with Philadelphia Department of Public Health officials to see if an exchange student from China may be infected with the coronavirus.

They report that the student is among a group who "caught a connecting flight out of Wuhan City, ground zero for the illness, before arriv in the U.S. earlier this month."

What led them to look into it was that the student fell "unwell" last week, but is currently seeking medical treatment and "feeling better."

6ABC also adds that health department officials there is low risk to any of the visiting students or chaperones having the virus. Tests results, however, are incoming, and should be back in the coming days.
