The 24-year old brother of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has now been charged with murder in connection with a shooting that occurred on New Year’s Eve in Cleveland, where 3 people were killed and 2 others were injured.
Tevin Biles-Thomas was arrested Thursday in Georgia for the shooting on December 31st at an Airbnb rental that left 3 dead. The police department’s statement says an “uninvited group” came into the house and an “altercation” subsequently ensued between them, leading to gunfire. Two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene, and one was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Biles-Thomas is currently on active duty with the Army, has now been charged with not only 6 counts of murder, but 3 counts of voluntary manslaughter, and 5 counts of felonious assault. The investigation was ongoing for 8 months.
It's unclear what the current (if any) relationship between Simone and Tevin is, though she posted about him back in 2017:
