Son to Joe Bryant, a former NBA player who player four seasons with the Sixers, Kobe was born in Philadelphia and entered the NBA directly out of his senior year at Lower Merion High School (Ardmore, PA). He spent the entirety of his 20-year career with the LA Lakers and helped lead the team to win five NBA championships.
Among his many accomplishments, Kobe is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and at the age of 34, became the youngest player in the NBA's history to reach 30,000 career points. In addition, he was named the top NBA player of the 2000’s.
