‘Sweetie Pie’ Star Gets Life in Prison

The verdict is in, and it's life in prison for the former Sweetie Pie's star, Tim Norman. A federal jury convicted Tim last year on two counts of federal murder-for-hire and another count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. According to prosecutors, Tim took out a $450,000 life insurance policy on his nephew in 2015 and was the beneficiary. His nephew was shot and killed in 2016. Prosecutors used phone records to prove that Tim Norman arranged to have his nephew, Albert Montgomery, killed. Tim Norman is the son of Robbie Montgomery, founder of the famous St Louis restaurant Sweetie Pie's. The family and the business were the subjects of the OWN reality series, Welcome to Sweetie Pie's.
