Nia Long Recounts How “Devastating” Ime Udoka’s Affair Was For Their Son

Months after Ime Udoka’s cheating scandal was first revealed, Nia Long is finally speaking about the devastating effect that it has had on their 11-year-old son, Kez. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Long explains, “I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public. He still has moments where it’s not easy for him.” When this story initially broke it seemed as though the Boston Celtics head coach was having a consensual affair with a staff member, until it leaked that he was making unwanted advances. Ime Udoka later apologized, and while he wasn’t fired from his head coaching position, he is suspended until next June.
