Vince Staples Teams Up with Netflix For Scripted Series

Vince Staples will be getting some acting on his resume. Actually, he may already have that because he has been featured in a few things, including a Sprite commercial from some years ago. Well Netflix has announced a new project with the rapper. Vince Staples will get a series on the streaming service called The Vince Staples Show. Although it sounds like a it could be a reality show or even a variety show, it will be a scripted series that loosely based on Vince's life as he stars in the show as himself, according to Hip Hop Wired. And on top of Vince teaming with Netflix, he will also be teaming with Kenya Barris, creator of Black-ish, for the new series. And this isn't Kenya's first time working with a rapper on a series because Kenya also worked with Kid Cudi for his animated series also on Netflix. We're not sure when the premiere of Vince's show will premiere but production is starting soon.
