Mattel Sues Rap Snacks Over Nicki Minaj Flavor

Mattel, the makers of Barbie do not play. The company has been in business for years and they don't want anyone using any of their likeness, if they don't approve. Hey, we get it. Mattel is now hitting Rap Snacks with a lawsuit all over a name. Rap Snacks decided to include Nicki Minaj in the mix of its flavors and guess what the flavor is? It's Barbie-Que honey truffle. You see what they did there? We know how Nicki refers to her fans, but this is going too far for the doll makers. TMZ reports Mattel filed a lawsuit in L.A. federal court last week against snack brand Rap Snacks because the snack company "made the deliberate and calculated choice to launch a new product line using Mattel's famous BARBIE trademark." And no, Nicki is not involved with the lawsuit. Mattel said they were not contacted by Rap Snacks and now the doll makers are trying to stop the company from using its name and trademark, as well as damages.
