Shaquille O'Neal has to be happy dad knowing that his son is following his footsteps and playing basketball. Shareef, now 22-years-old, has just signed a 6-figure contract to play in the G League and he will be playing for a team in Las Vegas, according to TMZ. Shareef will play for the team, Ignite, and he is very happy for the opportunity. He hopped on his Twitter to basically announce his new gig. In case you're wondering why not follow his dad's footsteps and go to the NBA, Shareef actually did practice with the Lakers during their summer league, but Lakers head coach Byron Scott felt Shareef wasn't quite ready for the NBA. But Scott said he believes if Shareef cleans up a few things in his game, then there is a chance he can play for the NBA like Shaq.
