Whitney Houston’s Estate Quadruples Earnings in Decade After Her Death

  • Friday was the 10 year anniversary of the passing of Whitney Houston.
  • Primary Wave Music has partnered with her estate and acquired 50% stake of her music assets.
  • According to Variety, the company has seen a quadruple growth in earnings and there is more to come and that does not include forthcoming projects. 
  • There are previously announced projects like a Broadway show and a Las Vegas tribute show.
  • The official biopic, I Wanna Dance With Somebody is slated for a theatrical release on Dec 23 with a soundtrack to accompany it.
  • Two new posthumous albums; a gospel album and a live album will arrive in 2023 to coincide with what would have been her 60th birthday.
  • In Dec 2021 an NFT was auctioned for $1.1 million that included an old demo recording of an unnamed Houston song.
