Dave Chappelle Is Willing to Sit and Speak with the Trans Community

Weeks after Dave Chappelle debuted his Netflix comedy special, "The Closer," people are still talking and are still upset about his stand up. He references the LGBTQ+ community where he joked and even admitted he didn't know what transphobic was, but said he was at one point because he didn't know. Have you seen the stand up, yet? Although Dave may have pushed buttons, he had messages behind the special. However, organizations weren't happy and trans employees for Netflix staged a protest. Netflix's CEO has decided to stand with Dave, but his employees, not so much. According to TMZ, Dave is willing to sit and speak if folks from Netflix actually reach out to him for a discussion. And what's crazy is that things sound so simple, but Dave's people says no one from Netflix has approached the comedian or his team about setting up a meeting or conversation, although, it's the opposite of what the woman who organized the walkout claimed.Ashlee Marie Preston says she did invite Dave to have a dialogue but says he didn't show. But Dave's people said they aren't sure whey she made those claims. A rep for Dave said, "Dave stands by his art: No more jokes about transgenders until we can all laugh together. The streets are talking and Dave is listening. At some point, when everyone is open, I’m sure the communities will come together." Let's see what happens and will this be a documentary moment?
