Philly's Ban on Plastic Bags To Start Next Week

Please don't feel as if your world will perish over a plastic bag. Starting next week, July 1, Philadelphia will start implementing the ban of plastic bags in stores. This was actually talked about a while back, but then the pandemic happened and pushed things back. According to 6 ABC, officials will start the roll-out and move slowly to have all stores and businesses to stop the use by April 2022. Don't think this decision will be so rough on you. In fact, it will be better on the environment and have you seen how filthy some of these streets are with plastic bags. The city will take the next 9 months to use as a warning to get rid of plastic. And quit crying because there are other options like the use of paper bags. Remember those? And you can bring in your own bags, like those recyclable bags you see near the registers of several stores. Even Wilmington implemented the same thing, however, stores are giving their customers heavy duty plastic bags, which are reusable for so many times. But that will soon stop as well and customers will have to bring in their own bags or pay for a paper bag.
