DMX had a brain function test on Thursday, but there was no improvement, according to TMZ. DMX was in ICU in a coma after having a heart attack after overdosing a week ago. His family is basically bedside with him and sources close to the family say they've become a tight-knit group as they continue to pray over him and the situation. The family was hoping for improvement, however, DMX has passed away at the age of 50. A rep for the family confirmed his death with a statement from the family saying, "We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50 years old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days. Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end."
