20 Chicagoans Shot, 4 Killed Over Presidents Day Weekend

  • The gun violence problem continues in Chicago, where at least 24 residents were shot over the three-day weekend, police say. Four of the victims died from their injuries, according to the Chicago P.D.
  • Revealing the weekend's shooting toll on Tuesday, Superintendent David O. Brown revealed officers have taken at least 1,180 illegal firearms off the streets in the past month. The department has also made 827 related arrests, Brown adds.
  • This week's total represents a slight drop from the previous weekend, when 25 people were shot and four others were murdered.
