DJ Luke Nasty sampled Kirk Franklin's, Melodies from Heavenon his new song Rain.
In addition to the sample, the cover art for the song is very suggestive.
Luke Nasty posted the cover art with a snippet of the song and captioned it, I have to chill LMAO #SampleKing.
Social media erupted saying it was inappropriate sampling the song.
Kirk Franklin poetically responded on Instagram. In a video he is playing Melodies from Heavenon his keyboards and then says, ya'll know me, y'all been knowing me for a long time. I have not cleared any other version of that song.
