Companies have been trying to come up with ways to end the coronavirus pandemic. We've been hearing about vaccines for quite a while now, despite the words that would spew out of the President's mouth. However, the pharmaceutical company, Phizer is very close to having a complete vaccine. According to Today, Pfizer said Monday that early analysis showed its vaccine candidate for COVID-19 is more than 90% effective at preventing infection. That's definitely good news to hear. Now even if it is approved, President-elect Joe Biden said the vaccine will not be widely available for months to come. On top of that news, the FDA has granted an emergency use authorization for Eli Lilly's COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatment, called bamlanivimab. This is pretty much what was used for the President when he tested positive for COVID-19. This treatment is meant for patients with mild to moderate forms of COVID-19. So there are some things that seem to be working out but who will jump in line first for that vaccine?
