CDC Says No Trick-or-Treating for the Kids, No Parties

Just when you thought 2020 couldn't get any worse for the kids, it does. One of the first major holidays is coming up when the kids and dress up as their favorite characters and hit the neighborhood to go door-to-door for treats. Yes, Halloween. That day seems to now be taken away from the babies. Because of the pandemic, the CDC is now advising people not to allow their kids to go out trick-or-treating, wear Halloween masks or even have any Halloween parties. According to the CDC, "many traditional Halloween activities can be high-risk for spreading viruses," the agency said in its posting. Their site gives lists of low-risk to high-risk situations. Some of the lower-risk activities they suggest include, things like pumpkin decorating with your household, decorating your home, scavenger hunts with your household or even a movie night. Some high-risk activities the CDC wants you to avoid include attending parties, going door-to-door for treats because of the virus, or even attending indoor haunted houses. So are you ignoring the guidelines? See the CDC's suggestions HERE.
