Philly Opens More Remote Learning Access Centers for Working Parents

The new normal of remote learning can be stressful, not just for kids, but also for working parents. When the idea of remote learning emerged because of the pandemic, people who do have to work were trying to figure out how that would work. Imagine being at home with your kids trying to get them signed on to computers for class while you're trying to work. For the parents with younger kids who don't know computers as easily as others, it can be stressful. However, thanks to a lot of supporters in the city, Philadelphia has about 46 new access centers that opened today, Monday, to help parents out, according to 6 ABC. This helps a lot because parents can drop off their kids at one of the 77 total access sites across the city. The kids will be supervised and food and activities are available as well. You can't just drop the kids off, you do have to register them at the sites. And priority is given to children of caregivers who need to work outside the home and cannot provide or afford supervision. To get a full list of sites, click HERE.
