  • According to Ruff Ryder's founder Darrin Dee Dean, when Hov became president of Def Jam back in 2004, he and DMZ began to beef.
  • In 2006, X left the label and went to Columbia Records, where he got in debt for $12 million.
  • Even though X left Def Jam, Hov came through and released him and wiped the debt clean!
