Elijah McClain's Family Sues Aurora Cops for Wrongful Death

Every day, we sit and wonder will cops be held responsible for shooting and killing people who aren't a threat. Elijah McClain was killed by cops. This story picked up for steam over the past months during the protests for social justice, but he died in 2019. Elijah was a bit different, but kept to himself, according to a lot of reports and friends and family. He was described as an introvert. However, it was an evening when Elijah was walking home from a corner store when he was approached by police. They got a call about a man wearing a ski mask and waving his arms about, but didn't seem to be a threat. His family said Elijah always wore a mask to keep warm. So why call the damn police about him? However, that didn't stop the police from confronting him before they attacked and assaulted him. Police forced him to the ground using force. Then the paramedics arrived, and the family claim an EMT "involuntarily injected him with a massive dose of ketamine" even though he was not experiencing any medical condition that would have required ketamine. After the sedative, Elijah stopped breathing, had no pulse and never regained consciousness before dying a few days later. According to TMZ, Elijah's family is going after the city of Aurora and 13 of its police officers, claiming they're all to blame for his 2019 death. The family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city, the police, paramedics and doctor involved. Let's hope his family gets justice!
