A few years ago, Mo'nique wanted us to boycott Netflix. I doubt many or anyone did that. She was upset because Netflix lowballed her when they asked her to do a comedy special but weren't willing to pay her what she think she should have gotten. They offered her $500k and Mo'Nique felt insulted claiming that other comedians had gotten way more money than that. So she wanted to file a discrimination lawsuit against Netflix. According to Page Six, Mo'Nique's reps pleaded with Netflix to reconsider a "racially and gender biased offer." Amy Schumer and Dave Chapelle were offered and paid more for their comedy specials, and Mo'Nique felt some type of way. A judge has given Mo'Nique the okay to move forward with the lawsuit against Netflix. She is upset with the offer from Netflix, but they never even went back to her with a better deal, but scratched the deal all together.
