After all of the protests after George Floyd's death, you would think police would get it by now. Many police departments have banned chokeholds and neck restraints, so you can imagine why people got upset when they saw a police officer from the Allentown Police Department kneeling on a man's neck. In a video, you can see a man being held down by police in front of a hospital then you see one of the officers put his knee on the man's neck. The person filming the video could be heard "not on the neck." According to CBS Philly, police received a call about a man staggering before he walked into the hospital's driveway. Police and hospital staff confronted the man when he spat in their face. That’s when, according to police, officers attempted to restrain the man and they fell to the ground. Police say the man allegedly continued to be non-compliant, which led to officers continuing to restrain him while hospital staff applied a spit shield. But the officer definitely violated the updated policy when he placed his kneed on the man's neck. Police say the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the incident and Attorney Ben Crump who represent's Floyd's family is also livid at what he saw on the video.
