Some of these cops just don't get it. With all of the protests going on about social injustices, they just don't get it. Over the weekend, cops got a call about a man in his car blocking the drive-thru line at Wendys. When they got there, they met Rayshard Brooks. Rayshard seemed calm as the body cam on the cop's displayed. Rayshard was explaining things and you can tell he had a few drinks, which, he said he pulled over and fell asleep. He was asked to take a sobriety test. Rayshard even said he didn't want to be in violation of anything. Rayshard even said he would walk home. Then things went bad. When the police tried to arrest Rayshard for DUI, Rayshard started running then the cops tased him, in which, Rayshard grabbed the taser and ran. What happened after that was uncalled for. Rayshard shot the taser at the cop and the cop took his gun out and shot Rayshard in the back. In the back! The police know the difference between a taser and a real gun and that's what the officer did. You can tell Rayshard was drunk, the cops could have easily caught up with him, but to shoot him in his back? Atlanta police chief Erika Shields resigned on Saturday after video emerged and Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms made that announcement as well as calling for the immediate termination of the officer who shot and killed Rayshard, according to The Washington Post. The officer who shot and killed Rayshard, Officer Garrett Rolfe was fired and the other officer Devin Brosnan, whose body cam footage it is, has been placed on administrative leave, according to TMZ. But that created an even more heated Atlanta because people burned down the Wendy's where Rayshard was murdered and the protests were definitely in effect, yelling, once again, Black Lives Matter!
