With how long Beyonce has been in the entertainment business and giving back, I would have thought she would have already had a special day in her hometown. However, it seems like she will get that, along with Megan Thee Stallion. After Megan released the remix to Savage, featuring Beyonce, I remember seeing a clip of Meg joking that she should have a day in her hometown of Houston. Well, it looks like it will happen. Last week, just a few days after the song was released, Houston Mayor, Sylvester Turner, announced that the city will be honoring Beyonce and Megan Thee Stallion with their own official days because of their in helping their city with the COVID-19 relief efforts. When Megan released the song, she said proceeds from the song would go towards Bread of Life, which, is an organization that helps feed people during disasters.
