During this coronavirus pandemic, a lot of people are trying to find ways to protect themselves when they may have to go out in public. A lot of people are wearing gloves and a mask of some sort. But you wouldn't think trying to protect yourself would get you kicked out of Walmart. That's what happened to a few men in Illinois. According to TMZ, two men shopping at Walmart claim a cop kicked them out for wearing protective face masks, but police say that's not how it went down. There is always 2 sides, right? I happened to look online and saw a part of the video with the men wearing their masks with a cop right behind them. The men said the cop told them there was a city ordinance that bars people from wearing masks in businesses. Really? Even at a time when the government made the suggestion to wear masks? However, the chief of police said the cop was trying to to identify the individuals because he felt they were acting suspiciously before entering the store. Did we mention the men were also black and there is no such ordinance over wearing masks? So the chief is trying to justify things saying that at the time when the men were wearing masks, people weren't really wearing them and no one else in the store was wearing them. The cop inside the store said the men refused to show their ID and said they were leaving. The cop said the men left on their own and weren't ordered to leave. I mean, wouldn't you leave if a cop was trailing you because he thought you looked suspicious? The men have made a formal complaint and it's under internal investigation.
