It was maybe over a week ago we heard the President mention that he wanted to send checks to the working Americans within a few weeks to help with the blow of the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic. A lot of people are out of work because people have been told to stay at home for social distancing. But how will the Americans pay most of their bills when they aren't working? Although the President made the mention of a stimulus package, it didn't get approved right away. However, Senate leaders and the Trump administration reached agreement early Wednesday on a $2 trillion stimulus package to help the economy, according to The Washington Post. This will be setting the stage for swift passage of the massive legislation through both chambers of Congress. The legislation aims to flood the economy with capital by sending $1,200 checks to many Americans, creating a $367 billion loan program for small businesses and setting up a $500 billion fund for industries, cities and states. So help is on the way, but the next question is when can people start seeing those checks.
