Philly Closes 63 Schools Because of Teachers Who Live in Montgomery County

On Thursday, we found out Gov. Tom Wolfe basically shut Montgomery County down for 2 weeks. He decided to close all Montgomery County schools, gyms, daycares and even asked for people who live in the county who have to commute, to work remotely for the next 14 days. Montgomery County had the most reported cases of coronavirus and it's a way to contain it. Some business have closed as well like entertainment venues like the movie theater, even a few malls have made the decision to close. But there are about 63 Philadelphia schools that will be closed because some teachers who teach in Philly, live in Montgomery County, according to NBC 10. On top of that, city officials announced Thursday that crowds of more than 1,000 are banned from gathering in the city and that will be in effect for the next 30 days.
