The trending topic lately has been about the coronavirus. Of course a lot of experts are telling people to wash their hands well and to stay away from large crowds. Well some of those large crowds include schools. So far in the area, there are a lot of school districts who have closed to do major cleaning after hearing of some people coming in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Some local cases include eight in Montgomery County, two in Bucks County, one in Delaware County, and one in Philadelphia, which reported its first case Tuesday. With the positive cases now in the area, officials are asking people to stay out of large crowds and have even cancelled the the St. Patrick's Day parade, according to Philadelphia Inquirer. But on top of that, the Penn Relays are around the corner but now because of the coronavirus concern, Jamaica has pulled out of the relays, according to the McKoy News. The Penn Relays are scheduled for April 23-25. In the meantime, continue to wash your hands and avoid shaking hands with others and if you see someone who is sick, avoid them but if you have extra medical masks, give them one.
