To celebrate its 35th anniversary, 'The Color Purple' will be returning to theaters. The film that starred Danny Glover, Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, and others will make its way back to the big screen on February 23. Now just so you know the movie will only be in theaters for one day only. 'The Color Purple' was based on the novel by Alice Walker of the same name. Released in 1985, The Color Purple nabbed 11 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Original Score, and acting nominations for Goldberg, Winfrey, and costar Margaret Avery.
