T.I. Explains His Disappointment in Iggy Azalea

T.I. was asked about his career and the biggest mistake he has had during that time. During an interview, it was interpreted that he called Iggy Azalea a blunder in his career, as told to The Root. It sounded like he wasn't happy with signing Iggy. However, during a recent interview with the Breakfast Club, T.I. took the time to explain himself. He clarified things saying, "I didn’t say [signing Iggy Azalea] was my biggest mistake. The question was, ‘What in your career do you think you still have to accomplish?’ And I said, ‘Well, I gotta introduce another female to the game that can undo the blunder of Iggy Azalea. I really feel like she was meant to be great. This is just my opinion – and keep in mind, I didn’t say this to really speak down on shawty – this is just my truth…" T.I. said what bothered him about Iggy is that when she realized she had a white audience, she didn't really care about her black fans. Meanwhile, Iggy is over T.I. mentioning her name all together. She tweeted, When will this guy shut up. The only song you were a part of making was “100” Thankyou for that, but you were NOT a part of the creative OR executive process on that album. Which is why i’ve always taken issue with you trying to approximate yourself with it’s success…stop trying to bring me up for relevance. I don’t bring your a** up, NO ONE is asking about you…Keep it pushing sweetie & worry about what your next story line is for family hustle." Ouch! But did Tip have a point about how Iggy switched up?
