Everyone was pretty upset this week when we all learned that the viral chicken sandwich that Popeyes was selling had already sold out - but no one was more upset than a Tennessee man who has now filed a LAWSUIT against the company!
The man claims he had spent "countless hours" having to find something else to eat after the restaurant ran out of its chicken sandwich this week. His reason for suing? They "wasted his time."
Craig Barr told a local newspaper, "I can't get happy. I have this sandwich on my mind. I can't think straight. It just consumes you."
The lawsuit seeks $5,000 in damages, alleging that the company engaged in "false advertising" and even "deceptive business practices by entity to public."
Barr was so desperate for the sandwich that he even answered a Craiglist ad from a friend of a man claiming to be a worker at Popeyes who was selling the sandwiches on the black market for $24. He didn't get the sandwich from that man.
His court date is in October.
