Meek Mill's Retrial Gets Delayed Until the End of the Month

A few weeks ago, Meek Mill was excited to hear news that he was off of parole. He's been on probation for a little over 10 years and his lawyers had been requesting to have a retrial with a new judge. Well that wish was granted. Meek was trying to get a 2008 conviction stemming from drug and weapon charges tossed out, especially when word got out about the crooked police who arrested Meek and the credibility of the officer who testified against Meek. Well Meek was ready for the retrial yesterday, only to learn his case has been delayed until later this month, according to CBS. By the way, the judge has said it is possible a different verdict will result at a new trial. But as for yesterday, it was more of a formality hearing to see where to go from here, but Meek will be back in court on Aug. 27.
