Mario is joining “Empire” season 5. The R&B singer has landed a recurring role on Fox’s hit music drama. Mario will be playing Devon, described as “an earnest, up-and-coming R&B singer who supports his ailing sister.” The Empire label and Lyon Family Management will be fighting over Devon as they both try to sign him to their companies. Season 5 of Empire will premiere September 26th.
