Temple University said on Friday that it has rescinded Bill Cosby's honorary degree.

“In 1991, based on his career achievements, Temple awarded an honorary degree to William Cosby,” a spokesman for the university, which is also the comedian’s undergraduate alma mater, told The Post.
“Yesterday, Dr. Cosby was found guilty by a jury of the felony of aggravated sexual assault. Today the Temple University Board of Trustees has accepted the recommendation of the University to rescind the honorary degree.”
The Philadelphia-based college announced the decision to rescind the doctor-of-laws degree after “America’s Dad” was found guilty Thursday on all charges in the 2004 sexual assault of former Temple University basketball administrator Andrea Constand.
Cosby — who has been awarded nearly 60 honorary degrees at other colleges — attended Temple University in the 1960s and received his bachelor’s degree in phys ed there in 1971.
He has served for decades as a major supporter and fundraiser for the school.
