Meek Speaks On Drakes Praise

A little over a week ago Drake showed Meek Mill a lot of love when he tweeted that the intro to “Dreams and Nightmares” was one of the “best rap moments of our generation.” During a recent interview with Complex, Meek responded to the praise saying, “It felt good to hear Drake show love and respect like that…Me and my homies, we always thought that about the intro…It ain’t take Drake to say it, Drake just put an extra stamp on it…That’s the homie and that’s how he must have felt, he just woke up and tweeted that. I always say most of the time in interviews Drake like the hottest, the biggest artist of our generation. I was smiling when I seen [the Tweet].” During the same talk Meek also revealed that he is working on about 20 monster records with DJ Khaled. Meek actually said that we wanted Khaled’s new song “They Don’t Love You No More” for his album, but as you can see that didn’t happen.

V. Stiviano Accused Of Extortion

Yesterday it came out that V. Stiviano has had several brushes with the law over the past 10+ years and now there is more to the story. Stiviano allegedly has hundreds of hours of recordings of conversations with Donald Sterling. She even admitted it to Barbara Walter’s interview last week, “There’s been a number of occasions where Mr. Sterling and I had conversations just like this one. This was one of very many…Part of what the world heard was only 15 minutes. There’s a number of other hours that the world doesn’t know.” Reports are suggesting that the LA District Attorney’s office has opened an extortion investigation against this chick because of accusations that she demanded money for the tapes in exchange for not releasing them in an attempt to extort Donald Sterling. Stiviano’s legal representation says that she did not release the tapes to start this whole messy situation but rather a friend released them without her permission.

Michael Jordan Drops Book And Says He Was Racist

A new biography on Michael Jordan titled “Michael Jordan: The Life” written by Ronald Lazenby reveals some shocking truths about the star’s past including his racism towards white people. The book describes Jordan’s upbrining in the 70’s in North Carolina where he says the KKK was a dominant force. There was one time a fellow student called him the n-word and that was the straw that broke the camels back. He said, “I was really rebelling. I considered myself a racist at the time. Basically, I was against all white people.” According to reports Jordan didn’t actually speak to Lazenby directly about the biography. The publishing company released a clarification statement saying, “Michael Jordan made those statements in a 1992 interview with Playboy magazine, referring to a specific event from his childhood…This is reported in Lazenby's book, which is a definitive biography of MJ's life and covers Mr. Jordan's childhood thoroughly -- but Mr. Jordan did not make those statements to Lazenby for this book. As stated very clearly in previous interviews, Mr. Jordan did not participate in "Michael Jordan: The Life" by Roland Lazenby.” The biography was released on Tuesday.

Nintendo Bans Gay Weddings In Game

Nintendo has denied the request of gay activists and gamers to allow for same-sex weddings in their upcoming game Tomodachi Life. A representative for the gaming powerhouse said, “Nintendo never intended to make any form of social commentary with the launch of 'Tomodachi Life…The relationship options in the game represent a playful alternate world rather than a real-life simulation. We hope that all of our fans will see that 'Tomodachi Life' was intended to be a whimsical and quirky game, and that we were absolutely not trying to provide social commentary." The statement was released after social media campaign for the request went viral. The organizer of the campaign, a 23 year old from Japan, was upset by the news, “It's more of an issue for this game because the characters are supposed to be a representation of your real life…You import your personalized characters into the game. You name them. You give them a personality. You give them a voice. They just can't fall in love if they're gay.” Nintendo released a subsequent statement about the campaign saying, “We have heard and thoughtfully considered all the responses…We will continue to listen and think about the feedback. We're using this as an opportunity to better understand our consumers and their expectations of us at all levels of the organization.”

Philly Dancer Sues Britney Spears

Philly dancer, Dawn Noel, is suing Britney Spears for allegedly breaking her nose. Noel, who has danced with Spears, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez and appeared on TV shows like Glee filed the suit in Los Angeles earlier this week. The suit outlines how during a video shoot back in August, “Britney twirled in the unbalanced and reckless manner, arms extended out to her sides, and forcefully backhanded plaintiff Dawn Noel directly in the face.” Noel heard “a crack” and was in so much pain that she immediately went to the doctor. Noel’s attorney said, “It has affected her career. She did an episode of 'NCIS,' and the makeup artist noticed, so it causes her concern…She also has issues with breathing and sinuses, which, obviously, if you're dancing there's great concern. There's no union for dancers, like there is with actors, writers or directors, so they don't have the same type of insurance. She isn't looking to get rich off this.” Noel is suing for negligence, battery and medical expenses.

Richard Sherman Gets Huge New Contract

Richard Sherman has received a new deal that will make him the highest paid corner back in the NFL. After leading the Seahawks to a super bowl victory he has received a 4 year, $57 million extension. Sherman shared the news via his website:

I am blessed to announce that the Seattle Seahawks and I have reached an agreement on a contract extension. The goal has always been to stay in Seattle and continue to play for the Seahawks. With this chapter closed, I can continue to focus on what is important – defending our Super Bowl Championship and being the best cornerback in the NFL.

This is a great moment for my family, foundations and the people who supported me to this point. Hard work and execution got me to this moment, the Seattle Seahawks have backed up that respect with this contract. The terms of my deal are 4 years for a total of $57.4M with $40M guaranteed. There is no other city or team that I would want to play football for.

Greatness is realized from countless hours of work, studying, practice, sacrifice and courage. This is just the beginning and I will continue to set the bar higher and higher on and off the field.

Much appreciation to the Seattle Seahawks franchise, the coaches, teammates, friends, the fans, my family and the 12s. The support does not go unnoticed and I carry that into each snap. From Compton to Stanford, 5th round draft pick to winning the Super Bowl – dare to be great.

You get out what you put in!

Willow Smith's Racy Picture

Willow Smith is getting some criticism for a picture she is in. She’s lying on a bed fully clothed, but sitting next to her to a shirtless 20 year old who happens to be Moises Arias, who’s an actor in Hanna Montana. Willow is 13 so the internets started going in on the inappropriateness of the picture. So what does Will and Jada have to say? According to sources they believe their daughter is "very mature" ... enough so to make her own decisions, as long as they don't clearly cross the line. Sources say they think its an expression of art. They say he’s a family friend and also friends with Jaden. The picture has been taken down.
