New Details Emerge, Remy Ma's Release Delayed
Last week Remy Ma announced that she would be getting released from prison this week. Erroneous reports yesterday morning said that she was released from the Bedford Hills Facility for Women at 8AM. New stories suggest that she is in fact still behind bars. There was apparently some type of issue with her release and now her release date has been delayed. MissInfo reports that friends and family were on hand for upwards of 4 hours waiting to welcome Remy home but she never exited the jail. Rumors are also swirling that during this past week of lockup she was in solitary confinement. They say things were delayed due to a July 21 incident requiring disciplinary action. No reason word of when she will be released.
Ravens' Ray Rice: 'My Actions Were Inexcusable'
Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice is speaking up regarding the video showing him dragging his unconscious fiancé from an elevator. As a result, Rice was suspended from two games and charged an additional game check. Also in trouble is Stephen Smith who, after responding to the video, was suspended from ESPN for a week for saying that women “provoke” violence against them.
Shaq And Waka Sued For Making Fun Of Man On Social Media
According to reports, Shaquille O’Neal, Trey Burke (point guard for Utah Jazz) and Waka Flocka have been issued lawsuits for making fun of a man on social media. Both men reposted a picture of a man with a rare disorder and were making fun of his physical appearance. The man they made fun of is named Jahmel Binion suffers from hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia which causes facial deformities, missing teeth and limited hair growth. When Shaq learned about Jahmel’s disorder he took the post down and tweeted, “Made a new friend today when I called and apologized to Jahmel Binion. Great dude. #alwayslearning #MYBADCUZ”. Despite the apology Binion has issued a defamation suit against Shaq, Trey and Waka saying that more than 8.4 million people were exposed to the insults. The 23 year old also doesn’t think that any of the apologies were genuine, “When they said sorry, I felt like they were saying it to get the pressure off of them for being considered ‘bad people’.”
Sierra Leone President Declares State Of Emergency For Ebola
Sierra Leone’s president Ernest Bai Koroma issued a state of emergency for the country do to the Ebola outbreak.
Police have been mobilized and the military is performing quarantine on areas hit hardest by the breakout. The following precautionary steps have been announced: Sealing off towns and homes where the disease is identified until they are cleared by medical teams.
Restricting public meetings and gatherings.
“Active surveillance and house-to-house searches” designed to trace Ebola victims and people who might have been exposed.
New protocols for screening both arriving and departing passengers at the country’s main airport.
The 340 US Peace Corps volunteers have been temporarily withdrawn from the afflicted countries- Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. So far, 672 lives have been claimed.
Woman Injured In Carjacking Crash Released From Hospital
69 year old Thelma Brown has been released from the hospital and is at home recovering in stable condition. Brown was injured during a carjacking hit and run on Germantown Avenue. The crash took the lives of three children who were selling fruit for a church fundraiser. The mother of the kids is still in a coma. Both suspects are behind bars and are facing murder charges.

Glu Mobiles popular new game ‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ is bringing in big bucks. Sources are reporting that the game is bringing in more than $700,000 a day! Users work to achieve A-list status with clothes, hairstyles, celebrity hangouts and photo shoots. Even though the game is free to download, players use real money to buy the things they need to climb the social later. If sales continue at this rate, its first year will have netted a whopping $200 million. Since the apps launch in June shares for the game maker have gone up more than 30%.

According to GQ, Kanye West has the top album of the 21st century. 2010’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is said to have had a profound impact and influence. Last week Nicki Minaj dropped the visual art for her new single ‘Anaconda’ and has had people anxiously anticipating its arrival.
