Beyonce Addresses Elevator Fight In Flawless Remix

Earlier last week there were rumors that a ‘Flawless’ remix was on the way and the release of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda had been pushed back. Turns out the rumors were true because on Saturday night Beyonce and Nicki Minaj dropped the remix via an exclusive website. On the track Beyonce give us just enough ratchet via her rapping and adlibs but she also addressed the “elevator incident”. Everyone remembers back in May when security footage of Solange mortal-combating Jay Z went viral. The family has remained pretty tight-lipped about the fight other than their official statement declaring that everything was fine. On this remix to ‘Flawless’ Beyonce opened up a little saying, “We escalate, up in this b--ch like elevators. Of course sometimes sh-t go down when it's a billion dollars on the elevator." The line is then followed by a ca-ching sign and high pitched laughter. We still don’t know what Jay and Solange were fighting about but the majority of us will have a billion dollars in an elevator so we’ll just have to keep speculating!

American Idol Finalist Dead

Season 7 American Idol finalist, Michael Johns, has tragically passed away at the age of 35. According to reports, Johns suffered an ankle injury and went to the doctor to inquire about the unusual bruising and swelling. Doctors sent him home when they didn’t find anything seriously wrong with him. The next day he died at a friend’s house from what is believed to have been a blood clot in his injured ankle. His family issued this statement, “Our family is devastated by the passing of our beloved Michael, a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from all corners of the globe. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and respect our need to grieve privately in this difficult time.” Johns placed 8th in the 2008 season of AI and went on to record an album, a three song EP and several other singles.

Remy Ma is Released From Jail And Drops Some Bars

After having her release date pushed back, Remy Ma is finally out of jail and is already putting out new music. Just hours after her release she hit the studio with DJ Khaled and recorded the remix to his ‘They Don’t Love You No More’. The track droppedSaturday. Remy has big plans for the near future saying that she wants to work with other female emcees like Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea- dispelling any rumors that she was calling them out on the remix when she said, “When y’all was on the TV, I was with the PVs/I listened to your CD, damn you really wanna be me/Don’t care if your name buzzin’, you know who the queen be.” After that line dropped of course people went running with it by Ma set the record straight, “What I think happens with females in this game, they tend to allow other people to pit us against each other. I've said this before. They make it seem like there can only be one female. It can be a thousand guys that's putting out music and rapping and doing what they do, but when it comes to females in this hip-hop business, they make it seem like it can only be one, and if there's more than one then 'Alright, y'all better be at each other's throats every chance that you get.' And any time you say one of those things, they're like, 'Oh yeah, she has to be talking about this person when she said that.' And I just feel like it got really crazy, to the point where I wouldn't tolerate it.”

Eric Garners Death Ruled A Homicide

On Friday the controversial death of NYC man, Eric Garner, was officially ruled a homicide. Garner died after New York City police officers stopped him on suspicion of selling untaxed cigarettes. They put him a choke hold that ultimately led to him suffering neck and chest compressions and cardiac arrest. Officers Daniel Pantaleo and Justin D’Amico are facing an internal investiation and have been placed on modified and desk duty respectively. Mayor Bill de Blasio said, “My administration will continue to work with all involved authorities, including the Richmond County district attorney, to ensure a fair and justified outcome.” Given the medical examiners ruling of a homicide the case will now have to go before a grand jury.

Trinidad James Dropped From Def Jam

In December 2012 Def Jam signed a deal with “All Gold Everything” rapper Trinidad James. Looks like his 15 minutes of fame have come to an end. On Saturday he tweeted, “I should tell yall. I got dropped by the Label. My Album is now free. If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz i got no money.” The tweet has since been deleted and James has posted some positive tweets including “There is nothing you cant make it out of. Trust me. Ohio Lawmaker Proposes LeBron James License Plate

Ohio state Rep. Bill Patmon is expected to propose legislation that would give state motorists the option of donning a commemorative Lebron James license plate. The democrat said, “When LeBron came home, it was a big deal for us…It might not be for the rest of the world, but it's a big deal for Cleveland.” Patmon has had success with pushing license plate legislation through before-in 2012 he got a Superman plate approved. LBJ’s people have not yet commented on the proposal.

Paul George Suffers Leg Injury

On Friday night the Team USA showcase came to a gruesome end when Indiana Pacers forward Paul George suffered a catastrophic leg injury during the fourth quarter. George was defending a layup by James Harden when he came down on his leg the wrong way causing it to break above the ankle. The accident took place with 9:33remaining in the quarter and out of respect for the player the rest of the game was called off. George underwent surgery on Saturday morning to repair his broken tibia and fibula. Reports say the procedure was successful and that he will remain hospitalized for the next few days. No official statement from the Pacers or George’s camp but he is expected to be out for the 2014-2015 season. Pacers President, Larry Bird, issued this statement:

Our first thoughts are with Paul and his family. It is way too early to speculate on his return as the No. 1 priority for everyone will be his recovery. Our initial discussions with our doctors and the doctors in Las Vegas have us very optimistic. We are hopeful at some point next week Paul will return to Indianapolis to continue his recovery.

“There is no question about the impact on our team but our goal is to be as strong-willed and determined as Paul will be in coming back. Our franchise has had setbacks in its history but has demonstrated the abilities to recover. Paul will provide the example of that off the court and it is up to the rest of us to provide that example on the court. Any discussion regarding the future of our team would be inappropriate at this time. Our focus is solely on Paul and doing whatever we can to help.

”We still support USA Basketball and believe in the NBA's goals of exposing our game, our teams and players worldwide. This is an extremely unfortunate injury that occurred on a highly-visible stage, but could also have occurred anytime, anywhere.

“Finally, the Pacers would like to thank our fans and the NBA community for their outreach of support in the brief amount of time since the injury occurred. It has been overwhelming and it is what makes Indiana and the NBA special.”

Former Eagle Offered A Plea Deal

Former Eagles wide receiver Irving Fryar and his mother have been offered a plea deal after being indicted in connection with a $1 million mortgage scheme. If Fryar were to accept the plea deal, he would face five years in prison. His mother faces probation. If Fryar were to go to trial and be convicted, he would face up to 10 years in prison and $150,000 in fines.

Irving, here, submitted false information to obtain five loans on her home within a six-day period and then pocketed the rest of the money. He’s saying he’s been a victim or a scam and he’s a pastor. Good lord.
