Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, 55, was arrested March 16th after officials pulled him over for driving super slow and failing to signal. According to TMZ Sports, police reported that there were multiple painkillers in his system, including Oxycodone and Hydrocodone. Reports also stated there were many prescription drugs in his car at the time of his arrest.  But get this, the prescription pills found in his car did not match the prescription bottles.

Furthermore, Irsay appeared in court this morning where he was sentenced 1- year probation and will be subjected to court- ordered drug tests, after pleading guilty to one misdemeanor.

The NFL also made some moves on the situation by suspending him for six games and fining him $500,000 ( the maximum dollar amount permitted for violating the leagues personal conduct policy.)

The commissioner Roger Goddell made a statement based upon the incident.

“I have stated on numerous occasions that owners, management personnel and coaches must be held to a higher standard than players. We discussed this during our meeting and you expressed your support for that view, volunteering that owners should be held to the highest standard.”
