As you can see - these shoe laces are sitting in front of my keyboard where I spend a great deal of time.  The American Heart Association would like me and you to lace up our sneakers today - April 2nd - AHA's National Walking Day for our hearts.  Whether it's walking, running, biking, playing sports or joining a group class, the goal is getting more active.  Here are some really, really good reasons to get moving:

Research shows for each hour of regular exercise can add about two hours to your life expectancy, even if you don't start until middle age.

Getting active can lower your blood pressure by about as much as some high blood pressure medications.

The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of physical activity a week for adults and 60 a day for kids.  So grab your sneaks, lace up and get moving towards a healthier heart. For more info go to heart/  I'm lacing up.  What about you?
