Timberland is slated to be the lead producer on Michael Jackson’s forthcoming Xscape album, according to Rolling Stone.

It’s slated to feature eight previously unrleased songs that have been “contemporized,” according to LA Reid, chairman and CEO of Epic Records, with the deluxe album slated to include the original versions of the music.

"Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with," Reid says in a statement, per Rolling Stone. "We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world."

Back in August, Timberland did mention working on the Jackson album and promised “something big.”

Is hearing some unreleased music with a contemporized production something you want to hear, or should the people behind the project should have just let his already astonishing legacy be left alone? Let us know below!
