Someone recently asked me the other day, why was I getting into these workouts. It's simple, I want to be healthier. It's not that I brag about going to a gym, but it's more of my challenging myself as well as others to get out there and make a lifestyle change. Yes, we can all be confident in our various sizes, but are we healthy? Check out this routine you can do at home. And yes, it was serious, but try it out! Plus, get a meal idea!
So after that workout, what should you eat? Well I try to avoid carbs after 3, per my trainer. But who says food shouldn't taste good when you're working out? I hit my recipe books. Try this: Coriander-rub chicken.
What you will need:
6 Chicken thighs or 3 pieces of chicken breast
1 tablespoons of olive or vegetable oil
2 tablespoons of ground coriander
1 teaspoons of salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of fish sauce (can find this in the Asian aisle in grocery store)
2 teaspoons of light brown sugar
half a lime
Use chicken breast or thighs. Preheat the oven at 500 degrees (broil). Lightly oil your chicken in olive or vegetable oil. Then lightly season with sea salt and pepper. Then rub coriander seasoning into the chicken. Place pan on highest oven rack and cook until slightly browned. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of fish sauce with 2 teaspoons of light brown sugar. After the chicken is a little brown, brush the sauce on the chicken and place back in oven until done, which, may be at least 30-40 minutes. You want a little of the char on the chicken. Remove cooked chicken from the oven and squeeze half of a lime on top and serve with some steamed vegetables!
