Rappers make stupid moves sometimes...okay a lot. But some rappers need to be a little more sensitive when using icons as album artwork or use their names in songs. Look how much flack Lil Wayne got for mentioning Emmett Till in a song. Well now, Nicki Minaj is catching it for her choice to use a picture of Malcolm X for her single "Lookin Ass N*#$a," according to USA Today. Damn Nicki! And it's Black History Month. Well she has since apologized after people criticized her decision to use the picture of Malcolm that was originally used for Ebony magazine in 1964. She posted a screenshot from the video Thursday Instagram along with a lengthy caption in which she apologizes to "the Malcolm X estate if the meaning of the photo was misconstrued." She continued saying the pciture was never the official artwork nor is this an official single. This is a conversation. Not a single" Although the song will be on her upcoming "The Pink Print" album.
