Trans Netflix Employees Plan To Protest Dave Chappelle's "The Closer"

I always heard he saying, when you're talked about, you will never be forgotten. And people are definitely talking these days about Dave Chappelle and his stand-up comedy special on Netflix, "The Closer." Have you watched it, yet? Of course many organizations including the LGBTQ+ community are heated over that stand-up special. And while Netflix's CEO, Ted Sarandos said he would not remove the special from the streaming service, when people wanted it removed, he is standing with Dave. However, Sarandos also added in a company memo, "Our hope is that you can be hugely inspired by entertaining the world, while also living with titles you strongly believe have no place on Netflix. This will not be the last title that causes some of you to wonder if you can still love Netflix. I sincerely hope that you can." After Netflix seemingly sided with Chappelle by suspending a trans employee, other trans staffers are planning a walkout event in protest, according to Hip Hop Wired. Netflix previously suspended employee Terra Field and two others after they attended a director-level meeting they weren’t slated to be a part of, but they have since reinstated Field's suspension. Many thought she was suspended over her tweets about Dave's show, but that wasn't the case.
