VP Kamala Harris Joins Pride Parade

This new administration at the White House is definitely different than the last. Kamala Harris just became the first Vice President to take part in a Pride parade. According to TMZ, VP Harris was out showing her support for the LGBTQ+ community. She and her husband, Doug Emhoff, walked the streets of Washington D.C. for the Pride March and no one knew she would just pop up the way she did, to walk about a block. Harris spoke at the Capital Pride rally, urging Congress to pass the Equality Act. She said, "We need to make sure that our transgender community and our youth are all protected. I wonder if she had a lot of security and I hope it wasn't a distraction from the event.
