Will Smith and Antoine Fuqua Pull Movie From Georgia Over Voting Law

We kind of saw this coming when Georgia decided to change its voter law restricting access to many people, and we know which people those are. Something told me Georgia would lose some money and so far, they are. Major League Baseball pulled their All-Star game and draft from Atlanta after hearing about the ridiculous voting laws. Well, Will Smith and Antoine Fuqua have decided to pull production of their new movie from Georgia. They were working on a runaway slave drama called "Emancipation" over the states law restricting voting access, according to the Daily News. If you're not too familiar with the new law, it requires voters to produce I.D. when voting absentee, limits ballot drop boxes, tosses ballots cast at the wrong precincts, gives partisan local lawmakers more control over recounts and makes it a crime to hand out free food or water to voters standing in lines. Yes, that's a lot. Both Will and Antoine said, "We cannot in good conscience provide economic support to a government that enacts regressive voting laws that are designed to restrict voter access."
