The Weeknd is stepping in to help out by making a huge donation. According to TMZ, Weeknd donated $1 million. Many people are running out of food throughout the chaos that's currently going on when Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed ordered an attack on the ruling party in the northern part of the region. The Weeknd's this money will help them with food. The singer said, "My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction." He is hoping that other people will also make donations as well.
