‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ Voted Best Film

  • Judas and the Black Messiah has been named Best Film by the African American Film Critics Association.
  • With this film gaining this award the Oscar implications are looking good for the film to be nominated in the Best Picture category.
  • If this holds true it would be the first time a film featuring all-black producers and directors would be nominated in the category in the 93-year history of the Oscars.
  • The two stars of the film Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield have already been racking up the accolades. We'll see if the honors continue when the Oscar finalists are named on March 15.
