Jordan Peele's "Us" Named Best Film of 2019

I didn't get a chance to check out the movie, "Us" in theaters when it came out. It was Jordan Peele's second thriller/horror film. However, I did check the movie out when it was released on DVD. When the movie first premiered, there were a lot of thoughts from people, whereas they would dig deep into the meaning of the movie, while others, like myself, just watched it. Well it looks like the movie became a favorite. According to Hip Hop Wired, "Us" has been named as the best film of 2019 but the African-American Film Critics Association. Jordan Peele's film won a total of three awards for Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Director. The movie made more than $255 million globally and Jordan's influence in changing the face of horror made his movie the association's first choice. The AAFCA awards will be held on Jan. 22 at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood.
