Philly Rapper Killed, 5 Others Injured During Shooting Sunday Night

Very sad news on Sunday night — up and coming Philly rapper Bankroll Gambino (Ezra Weah) was killed in a shooting in SouthWest Philadelphia, while 5 others were injured.

Ezra was with a group of people filming a promotional video in front of a house on the 2600 block of Carroll Street around 8pm when an unidentified gunman started shooting. Five men were shot and injured, while Gambino was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bankroll had filmed a video on Saturday, and he was then on Carroll Street on Sunday to film a promotional video for his upcoming release on August 10th. He had just posted yesterday on his Instagram, which you can see here.

The shooting was not far away from where a shooting occurred just last month during a graduation party. Police have yet to release any additional information about the suspects.
